2018年の世界ツーリングカーカップ (2018 FIA World Touring Car Cup FIA WTCR presented by Oscaro[1]) は、世界ツーリングカーカップ（WTCR）の最初のシーズンである。世界ツーリングカー選手権を引き継ぎ、TCR技術規則を採用した[2]。

開催スケジュール 編集

2018年のチャンピオンシップは、ヨーロッパ、アフリカ、東アジアで30ラウンドにわたって争われた。

暫定カレンダーは2017年12月にリリースされた[51]。2018年3月、武漢ストリートサーキットでの中国ラウンドが追加された。

ルールの変更 編集

競技規則 編集

  • 新シリーズでは優勝者に与えられるタイトルは「世界選手権」ではなく「ワールドカップ」となる。マニファクチャラーは競争のために車両を開発し、それをプライベーターの参入者に販売することができ、それらのチームに継続的なサポートと開発を提供することも許可される[2]。
  • WTCRシリーズは26エントリーに制限され、各レースの週末に主催者によって最大2つのワイルドカードがノミネートされる。エントリーキャップは、6つのワイルドカードがノミネートされたマカオを除くすべてのレースに適用される[37]。すべてのチームは、150,000ユーロのエントリー料で最低2台をエントリーしなければならない[54]。
  • 週末の形式も変更された。毎週末に3回のレースが行われる。最初のレースは土曜日に開催され、2回のフリープラクティスセッションの直後に独自の30分の予選セッションが行われる。日曜日にはレース3のグリッドを決定するための別の予選セッションがあり、レース2のスターティンググリッドには、セッション上位10人のドライバーが逆順に並ぶ[55]。
  • タイヤはヨコハマが供給し、燃料はパンタが供給する[56]。
