Digital Garage, Inc. (Japanese: 株式会社デジタルガレージ) is a Japanese technology conglomerate based in Tokyo (Shibuya PARCO DG Building and Daikanyama Digital Gate Building) and San Francisco[1]. Its predecessor was From Garage, Inc., an advertising and editorial production company (CEO: Kaoru Hayashi)[2]. Joi Ito is a co-founder, Director, Senior Managing Executive Officer, and Chief Architect.
Digital Garage develops payment, marketing, investment, and nurturing businesses. It has numerous subsidiaries and affiliated companies with capital ties, such as Kakaku.com, Inc. which operates "kakaku.com" and "Tabelog," and Crypto Garage which handles blockchain financial services. Digital Garage manages "DG Lab," an entity dedicated to open innovation and research and development.[3]
It is one of the components of the JPX-Nikkei Index 400[4].
